I am linking up with Mosaic Monday and Our World Tuesday
They are all fun memes I listed above to participate in...I hope you can join in with the fun and check out some of the participating posts.
Back in June, hubby and I took a daytrip to Trough Creek State Park and the Raystown Lake and Dam in Pennsylvania.
I read about this park on Felicia's Blog and we are always looking for new places and parks to visit. Felicia's photography is awesome, my images do not compare but I hope you enjoy.
At the park we took the hike to the Suspension Bridge, Rainbow Falls and the Balance Rock.
It felt a little shaky while crossing, but is was fun. And while crossing the bridge I saw a Great Blue Heron flying down stream. During this outing I heard more birds than I actually saw.
Here is the Rainbow Falls, I was hoping for a little more water on the falls. I assume there had not been enough rain in this area at the right time.
We saw a lot of butterflies while at the Balance Rock. One Tawny Emperor was attracted to my hand.
Silly hubby laying under the balance rock, if it fell it would go the other way.
More butterflies were seen around our picnic area.
This is the Red-spotted Purple, a weird name for a butterfly.
Raystown Lake and some wildflowers.
A pretty view of the Raystown Lake and some of the wildflowers.
A few Killdeer were seen at the lookout at the Raystown Dam . I have a lot more images from our visit to this area I may do another post. I hope you enjoyed our visit to the park. As always thank you for visiting my post and for the nice comments. Have a happy new week ahead!

Oh, how beautiful. I love Pennsylvania. My husband was born there!
some phenomenal shots, and that creek is so picturesque!
So nice to see all the butterflies and wildflowers, Eileen! A very pretty place. Hope you have a great week!
What beautiful butterfly photos, Eileen. The scenery is spectacular too. Love that your hubby "chanced" the Balance Rock. Is that graffiti on the rock? Is it permitted? Or did someone vandalize it? This happens often here in SA; especially with the Bushman rock art in our mountain caves. Have a wonderful day. Jo
These photos make me want to go for a walk outdoors. Beautiful and refreshing feeling captured in these shots.
Very nice, Eileen
It's a shame someone had to graffiti up Balance Rock.
well that park was certainly worth going to as the butterflies are awesome. So many and I loved seeing the Kildeer.
That was a wonderful day Eileen :)
Seeing so much beauty in just a
few hours :)) Love all your pictures,

Hari OM
Such beauty! FYI... 'Ash(a)' in Sanskrit means 'hope', so that partnership on the rock has a lot of it...as did the supine hubby!!! &*> YAM xx
What fun! So many butterflies!!!
Butterfly heaven! Tom The Backroads Traveller
I enjoy benefitting from your day trips . . .
Great pictures!
Oh Eileen, what a lovely place, and I enjoyed seeing it through your camera. Love all those butterflies, and I think some of their names are a bit odd, too.
That rock...and... men...lol. Love this post!

The RG has been to Raystown but I haven't. Maybe I should. Very nice.

All those butterflies are gorgeous. It looks like a great place to wander.
I love it that you saw so many butterflies. I have seen so few lately that I was getting worried!
I love discovering new places for viewing nature. Very nice!
i feel like i heard about a suspension bridge recently ... i am not sure if it was this one? or not? very pretty. i love hikes of any sort. with a bridge is such a plus. love the waterfall. so earthly. ( :
I think your "silly" hubby has been taking lessons from Bill :) That photo made me smile. I love that blogging took you to these beautiful locations. The waterfall didn't have so much water, but it was a lovely shot regardless. I was blown away by the butterflies. To have one land on your hand must have been a neat experience. Such a variety and so beautiful. Loved the Killdeer as well. Beautiful post, Eileen! Have a wonderful Monday!
Lovely butterfly and wildflower photos! Glad you had a good trip.
beautiful bridge and I think i could walk this one, some of the suspensions i refuse to walk.. i love the falls just like they are, all those beautiful layers of rock. i don't think i would lay under that rock either, i am the original Chicken Little
Beautiful images, and there are the Butterflies, so close up.
These are all beautiful mosaics. You found some wonderful places to visit, and thanks for sharing your photos with us.

What beautiful butterflies! And wild flowers too! It looks cool especially along the stream. Lovely.
Nice shots. Love those falls. The layered stones is amazing, isn't it?
what a beautiful pictured trip !!!
happy week for you too :-)
Love the Tawny posing on your hand!
Also I'm a big fan of Red-spotted purples, they hang around here on Cacapon Mountain, W.V. I see the White Admiral (which they are genetically nearly identical to) far less.

Eileen, You've taken some great photos of the lake and environs. Have I ever told you I'm originally from PA? So many butterflies and wildflowers - looks like you visited at a perfect time.
I think that I would be a wee bit shaky on that bridge as well. Those butterflies are really gorgeous Eileen, and so many. Have a Happy day and a happy week~
So many different butterflies but what a pity that others don't respect the area and think it OK to write on the rocks.
Hi Eileen, I sure enjoy seeing all the wonderful critters on your blog. Those butterflies were gorgeous. Have a fine Tuesday tomorrow!
Mosaics are a great way to sum up a lot of events in one moment. You are the master of this and I appreciate you teaching me how to do my own. Again, beautiful area Eileen and like you, when I see a big gorgeous forest full of sound, I get a bit intimidated. I can hear them but rarely spot the tiny ones. And there are lots of tiny ones that dart around:) That bridge looks like fun:)
Rainbow falls is how I imagine heaven to be! That collection of lovely butterflies sure is friendly! How fun to get one to land on you! So pretty!
Oh, I do love the butterflies!! They are so gorgeous indeed and your captures are superb, as always!! Thanks for sharing the beauty!! Hope you have a great new week!!
Favorite is the bridge and your shot of it ~ All wonderful nature photos!
Happy Week to you,
artmusedog and carol
These are great and it is so much fun to learn of new places from other bloggers. I found out about Bombay Hook from you and I need to get back there sometimes. Have a great week Eileen.
A weird name for a black butterfly. In my world BF is a butterfly.
Oh, my … all those beautiful butterflies (especially the one on your hand) would make me feel quite fluttery with excitement. :)
Love the Butterflies..I never seem to be able to find any..We took our boat up to Raystown many years ago after Labor Day..It was deserted but we had a good time..
Hi Eileen, I love PA, my family is from there and W. V. Your mosaics are always wonderful. Love the butterflies. Have a nice week.
Hugs, cm
The wildflowers and lake scene is gorgeous!! It's so nice seeing all the different butterflies as well. We haven't seen many this year, sadly. Wonderful collection of beautiful photos!
Too bad there wasn't more water coming over the falls, but you got some great photos of the butterflies!
Beautiful falls. What amazing butterflies!
Picmonkey is so user friendly isn't it? I also use it for collage. If I don't already have Photoshop and Corel I would pay for Picmonkey.
You did very well with your nature shots, as always.
the park looks very beautiful and inviting. thanks for sharing the beauty.
Very nice. I love suspension bridges like that - I would very much enjoy crossing it.

I like stumbling on notes written by other folks, and what a great place to rest too. That bridge is so cool, great fun hiking out around there. All lovely nature scenes and did you close with my favorite Killdeers? Great shots, you capture amazing shots out about nature!
What a lovely collection Eileen, thank you.
That bridge does look a little shaky though.
Have a good week
All the best Jan
I like your photos, Eileen. They have me wanting to visit the place, if I'm ever in that area. I like walking across suspension bridges and around butterflies.
Take 25 to Hollister
Wonderful butterflies. I always hear more birds than I see. The bridge looks a little scary!
Very beautiful images! Loved the butterflies, that bridge and the wildflowers!
Looks like a place I would like to visit!
Lovely pictures!!
I especially like the third from the top.
Urrgh the graffiti on the rock...I hate how irresponsible people can be. I saw a lot of that too when I was hiking.
A very beautiful place... and stunning images!
The butterflies are amazing!...
I just love all the photos!...
Kisses
Ana
Such a cool place for hiking. I have never walked on a suspension bridge. Was that a lot of fun?
