Birds, Blooms & the sky

I am linking up with NF Winged   and  Skywatch Friday

June 26, 2013

Another week flying by, its time for sharing your birds on NF Winged and to share your skies on Skywatch Friday.  I hope to see you all there.

Tufted Titmouse with a dried Meal Worm. I am see lots of baby birds lately. The Tufted Titmouse fledglings are fun to watch and they make the sweetest sounds.

A couple of Chipping Sparrows, the fledglings are being seen all over my yard lately. They are so cute.

LOL, my yardbirds and I are excited about our blueberry crop. I have two blueberry bushes that are full of berries. I am hoping I can get to pick some ripe berries before the birds get them.

The Lantana on our deck is looking pretty. I chose Lantana after reading that this flower attracts the butterflies and hummingbirds.

The Scarlet Tanager singing in the tree across from my driveway.

On this day hubby went off into the woods with Goldie Girl and my camera. He came back with some great sunset photos and moon shots.

Hubby's Super Moon shot! It is a beautiful color.

The Super Moon reflecting on our lake. The sky shots this week are courtesy of my dear hubby. I hope you enjoyed this post and photos.

Thanks for visiting my post and  blog and I always appreciate your comments.

Happy Skywatching  to everyone!
To see more pretty skies from around the world please visit  Skywatch Friday

Thanks to Sylvia, Yogi  and Sandy for hosting Skywatch Friday! Thanks to Monica the host of NF Winged.   I wish everyone a safe and happy weekend.

Humming birds. I like sparrows. The views of the sunset are great. Yours.

  2. You'll be amazed at how quickly birds can clear out a crop of berries. I did battle with Mrs. Robin a few years back. She got 95% of them. It wouldn't have been so bad if she wouldn't run around the yard with that smug smile on her face..........

  3. Your blueberry bush is loaded! I have 2 bushes that have been in for about 4 years and are still small and produce just a few berries. Do you feed yours something special? How old are your bushes. I really thought mine would be a lot better by now.

  16. I love the bird photos - the scarlet tanager is quite amazing - I've never seen one in person. The sky and moon shot are spectacular - especially at the lake. We had clouds the night of the full moon - but there will be another one - maybe I'll get some shots of it then.

  42. Your hubby did a great job with the camera, nice shots!
It's a joy to see the young birds. I keep thinking I hear a Tufted Titmouse, then realize it is the Mockingbird. One would expect to find a yardful of birds, but it's only him, singing his heart out.

  43. I do like blueberries, I wish I had them growing in my backyard. I think lantana is pretty too but it's a curse here, it grows wild and takes over the bush so you never see it in gardens.

  64. Gorgeous Eileen!!! That Tanager you have over there is something else. I love all your shots. I am several weeks behind in my reading but I see you've joined Birding Is Fun! Congrats and I look forward to your posts there as well! I can't wait to get home again and just give myself a break. It has been a lot of work over here and everyday is full of new rewards but it's constant work. Rain forest birding is difficult. I am looking forward to the East side of the country eventually and some of that cooler weather you get to enjoy:)
